LAPL Black Lives Matter Discussion Series-Part II

The Palms-Rancho Park Branch is teaming up with the Westchester – Loyola Village Branch to bring you our next installment of the Black Lives Matter Discussion Series Part II, beginning October 1 and running through December 17. We invite you to come out and join the conversation.
Facilitators for the event are Frieda Afary, Palms-Rancho Park Branch Library and Rita Romero, Westchester – Loyola Village Branch Library.
Topics for the discussion are the following:
October 1 – Broken on All Sides: Race, Mass Incarceration & New Visions for Criminal Justice in the U.S.
– Slavery by Another Name
October 15 – The End of Policing by Alex S. Vitale and e-Audiobook, Always Available , Chapters 1-5, available through LAPL’s Social Justice List;

December 17 – The Wretched of the Earth by Frantz Fanon, Chapters 3-4 and Conclusion.
