ARLINGTON, Va. (ABC7) — Some Arlington County children got a rare opportunity Tuesday night: a chance to visit with their fathers and mothers — who are in jail — without any barriers between them.

Tuesday, the Arlington County Detention Facility (ACDF) hosted an event allowing incarcerated mothers and fathers to visit with their young children for a few hours.

This year’s theme is “The Circus.”

"I can't remember when I last saw you laughing," sings a young girl to her dad.

With smiles on their faces and sounds of playtime, children enjoy some quality time with their parents.

"This means the world to me," Dasean Drummone, an Arlington County inmate said. . .
