Mom Fed-Up with Short, Tight Clothes for Girls Starts Genius New Line for Kids


Thanks to one mom, girls who don't like stereotypically feminine clothes and prefer more gender neutral attire have another brand to shop: a line of clothing called Girls Will Be.

As reported by Bored Panda, Sharon Choksi launched the brand in 2013, inspired by her daughter and niece who aren't fans of pink, pastels, sparkles or any of that frilly stuff—and it's a game-changer. According to the brand's e-commerce site, the line is meant to empower girls to be themselves and provide them with more options to express their individuality. As their About section on Facebook reads, Girls Will Be never wants girls to feel like they need to conform to the "increasingly narrow definition of 'girl' reflected in far too many of the clothes and other products marketed to them." . . .
