Naomi and Coco Gave Us The Best Sports and Black Girl Magic Moment of the Year


On Saturday the No.1 champion Naomi Osaka and tennis phenom Coco Gauff competed in the third round of the U.S. Open. Going into the match, we knew that it would be a full on display of Black Girl Magic and grit, but the best moment happened after the game.

In the end Osaka prevailed over Gauff beating her 6-3 6-0. As soon as Osaka won the match point the two met at the net, exchanged a few words and hugged. As Gauff gathered her belongings with tears streaming down her face, Osaka exemplified the sisterhood and sportsmanship we should all strive towards . . .
